Salvador Dali   °1904 1989   (ES)

Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) was a prominent Spanish surrealist painter known for his technical skill, precise draftsmanship, and the striking and bizarre images in his work. Born in Figueres, Catalonia, Dalí studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. His most famous work, "The Persistence of Memory" (1931), features melting clocks in a dream-like landscape. Dalí's eccentric behavior, flamboyant personality, and his collaboration with other artists, filmmakers, and writers, like Luis Buñuel and Federico García Lorca, made him a central figure in the Surrealist movement. He also explored other forms of art, including sculpture, photography, and film.
